I was actually editing my blog in the school library on Monday, but I didn’t have enough time to finish it before my duty ended and I didn’t have any diskette to save it, so I have to re-write everything now, at home…ok, so as I was saying, nothing much had taken place in my life, just that last Saturday I accompanied my mother for body check-up…actually it’s really nothing much lo…just that I was being SCOLDED by that woman working in the referral room for NO REASON at all, or rather, when I didn’t even do anything WRONG!…
It all started when my mother went to Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic 2 weeks ago to see her check-up report. The doctor told her that there’s an undetectable particle inside her womb and the doctor asked her to come back a week later to do a more in-depth X-ray scan to find out what that thing is.
I was really bored on that day, and so I got up exceptionally early on last Saturday to accompany my mother for that X-ray scan. After a very long time, my mother came out of the X-ray room and told me that that particular X-ray is not available in Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic and she asked us to go to the referral room to make an appointment with KK hospital for that X-ray scan…and then here comes the ‘INTERESTING’ part…
We went into the referral room, waited for that woman to finish up her work, walked up to her and I spoke to her in a very gentle voice. *I can SWEAR I was talking in a VERY NICE manner to her* and guess how she talked to me?
‘ Girl, what appointment? Where’s your file? What appointment? I can’t do anything without the file you know!’
‘ What X-ray? Which doctor asked you to come here? Are you sure the doctor asked you to come here for the X-ray or not?!’
‘ Next time you wanna go for X-ray right, must check and confirm with the staff here that they have the X-ray you know… so troublesome!’
Can anyone understand how I felt at that point of time?I was damn pissed off with her and the clinic lo…I mean 1st of all, the doctor there actually didn’t know they don’t have that X-ray there, that’s already ridiculous.. Worse, the staff actually asked me, the patient here, to CHECK and CONFIRM with the staff there if they have that X-ray available… they are not making any sense la… they expect the patient to DIY everything… then must well ask the patients to treat themselves next time right?
But you know what?… if the doctor had asked me to check, I would!… I mean it doesn’t hurt by just checking if they really have that X-ray there… but you know what?… they didn’t ask me to check!!!!… They made my mother and I got up so early in the morning, wasted our MONEY, TIME and EFFORT, only to find out that we had made an useless trip and got scolded for NOTHING!!!
Ok, think I’m too tired… I can’t think properly, today’s such a long day, ended at 6++…think should write next time…
